The dried seaweed processing plant can dehydrating the seaweed/kelp fast, smooth, non-sticky, and has good color. Dried seaweed/kelp is better than dried seaweed in terms of quality and color. The water content of seaweed is as high as 90%. The traditional drying process of kelp is best to dry it all at once on the same day, but in many areas it is not possible to achieve the ideal sunshine conditions. And the quality of dried seaweed is also very unstable.
In most coastal cities in my country, seaweed seedlings are generally cultivated from June to July, and June to July is the time when the sunshine is strongest and the temperature is the highest, so the season for harvesting seaweed misses the strongest sunshine conditions. Moreover, the drying area is large; the labor intensity is very high, and workers are required to constantly turn the seaweed to expose the various parts of the seaweed to the sun; the place where the seaweed is dried is poor in sanitation, the ground cannot be disinfected, and the seaweed is easily polluted by flies and insects; the humidity is difficult to complete controlled, easy to grow mold and deteriorate after storage.
How to make dry seaweed?The following describes the process flow of the seaweed drying line: seaweed washing→blanching→salting→washing→cooling→cutting→placing→dehydrating→packaging
With the development of science and technology, more and more people use kelp drying line to dry kelp. A complete kelp silk drying line includes seaweed washing machine, seaweed blanching machine, salting, seaweed washing machine, and seaweed air drying. Cooling machine, seaweed cutting machine, pan plate, seaweed heat pump dryer, seaweed packaging machine.
Seaweed Cleaning: The seaweed from the kelp breeding base is lifted into the bubble cleaning machine by a hoist to clean and remove sediment and insects;
Seaweed Scalding: Put the seaweed into the boiling line and boil at a high temperature of 90℃~99℃;
Seaweed Salting: blanched and cooled salt (the amount of salt is 40% of the fresh seaweed)
Remove the seaweed salt: Wash the pre-treated seaweed 3 times to ensure that there are no foreign substances and the salt content is controlled below 0.2%.
Seaweed Cooling: Quickly air-dry at room temperature, cool and blanch the seaweed after salting and washing, and the excess water remaining on the surface;
Seaweed Cutting: Take out the air-dried and cooled seaweed, and use a professional seaweed cutting machine to cut the seaweed into seaweed threads, diamond seaweed, seaweed segments, etc.
Placing the seaweed strip into tray: Put the washed seaweed silk into the tray of the drying room, and push the cart filled with the seaweed silk tray into the heat pump drying room.
Seaweed drying process
1. The heating stage
Put the pallets with materials in the oven flat and not overlapping to avoid unnecessary air leakage caused by poorly placed pallets. Close the door, heat the temperature in the box to 50°, and heat for 1.5-3 hours. When there is moisture in the box, the moisture will start to drain, and the moisture will drain for about 2 minutes. After the moisture is drained, the temperature in the box will drop. Continue to supply hot.
2. Constant speed drying stage
This dried seaweed process is divided into two stages: high humidity and low temperature, middle humidity and middle temperature. In the high humidity and low temperature section, the temperature is less than 60 degrees, and the range is 55 degrees to 60 degrees. Avoid high temperature and high humidity from causing changes in the color of the material. Observe the change of water vapor on the surface of the seaweed and discharge moisture at any time. This time should be 3 to 3.5 hours. In the middle humidity and middle temperature section, the temperature is less than 60 degrees, and the range is 50 degrees to 60 degrees. In this section, the air inlet valve can be opened and the return air valve can be properly closed for the moisture removal. Reasonably adjust according to the amount of moisture.
3. Deceleration and shaping stage
Also known as the low humidity and high temperature section, the temperature in this section is 70 to 80 degrees, not more than 70 degrees in the early stage, and not more than 80 degrees in the later stage.
